Amazing Group of Mom's!!!!
Ladies, I must say as a new poster that I am SOOOOO impressed by the bond everyone has on here. There is so much respect even when you disagree with a topic and responses are given in a heartbeat. I feel so blessed to have come across this site and I hope to gain new friendships with many of you. Good luck to those of you still in the process and know that all of us are cheering for you!!!!
Cindy

I agree mommy2jillian! I have come across these forums a million times in the past couple years in my "adoption travels" but never came in and looked around until this summer. I posted in the "waiting" thread and gave a little background on us and within a week I received a PM from a poster there about an agency site and bam! within weeks we were bringing home our 5th angel! I didn't get to hang out in the "waiting" room for long so I didn't get to know them but I still lurk in there (shhh...don't tell them!) These forums are a great way to network, vent, celebrate, and just find someone that truly UNDERSTANDS!! I have seen some amazing relationships grow in here. Welcome!

First of all Leslie...you don't have to LURK!!! You can still chat with us!! If everyone disappears after their babies arrive, I'll be SAD!!!
I'm too lazy to find the sad emoticon...but laundry makes me sad...so its the same thing. Now, to the original Poster...We are a dang good group, aren't we? I'm so glad you have found support and friendship on our boards! I have gained so much from all our members, I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one!!![]() |

They are pretty great, aren't they? I haven't been posting very long, but already my sanity level has risen immensely thanks to everyone here. No matter where everyone is in the process, these ladies can understand and offer the kind of support nobody else can because they've BEEN there.
It can be a real life saver. |

My baby is 16...
so there's no need to lurk. I like to think I bring a somewhat different perspective, as the mom of an adopted teenager (and the granddaughter of two adoptees and cousin to four more).
Welcome! Robin |

I have to agree also, without this site I would go crazy. I occasionally visit some other sites but they just don't have the warmth, caring, fun, and most of all the support and welcoming bonds this one has. IMO it is by far the best out there. I love this site and can't imagine going through the process without it.
DH and I were talking about this site at the support agency's Christmas party and how since most of the people in our support agency are foster parents this site is my main source of support because foster parents can only understand so much if that makes sense. Plus I know DH is glad I have this place so I don't get so emotional and yackaty 24/7 with him as he says "I hate seeing you sad, it makes me sad" so he thinks this place is great too! LOL ok I'm totally rambling here so I'm going to hush now, lol. |

I've gained a lot from this site and have changed a lot, too! I do hope I can look back someday and see it as growth! LOL!
Even though I was already an adoptive mother when I joined this site, I didn't realize how ignorant I was concerning a lot of adoption stuff. Thank you Adoption.com for helping me!!!!! |

I have to agree with all the others. I wish I had found this site prior to my adoption but better late then never.

Welcome!
There are many wonder people on this forum. I have learned so much. I to wish that I had found this forum before adopting. However with our next adoption I will be well informed. Michelle

You are so sweet!
I must say, I get a LOT of laughs from this board! There are some really great people here. I am relatively new here (I spend a lot of time on the China board), but there is a wealth of information and support here. |

Adoptive mom here
I have been given some of the best advise and support only found on these boards. It's always comforting to know that you are never alone.
