Our dreams have finally come true!!!!!!!
We brought our little girl home today!!!
 Emma Kate was born at 9:35 pm on Thanksgiving Eve and weighed in at 7 lbs 13 ozs. She is perfectly healthy and absolutely beautiful!!! Our time at the hospital with the birthparents was so perfect...we all spent time together, held the baby together, took pictures of us all with the baby, gave each alone time with her. I was so nervous about the hospital visit but it could not have gone better! I admire them so much...I think they are the strongest, most honest people I have ever met. Before we left the hospital today we gave them a photo album with some pictures we had taken and promised to send them more. We also gave them a locket with Emma's picture in it. I wrote them a long letter last night and gave it to them today....I would never have been able to get out all my thoughts and feelings today. We are looking forward to an open adoption with them...letters and pixs at first and, when they are ready, visits. We have truly grown to love them over these last months. It has been an amazing few days!!! We certainly have so much to be thankful for!!! I also want to thank all of you here for the wonderful advice and honest emotion provided on this forum. It has helped get through the many months of waiting!!! Kathy finally a new mommy!!!!
