Husband- Relocation to Germany
This is not so much a question that relates to adoption, however we have adopted a wonderful daughter (she's 1). Around the time that she will be 3 we will be relocating from the USA to Germany for a 1.5 year stay. Has anyone done experienced this with kids so young? Was it a good experience for you? By the time we go, we hope that God will add yet another little angel to our family.
Any input will be appreciated. |

Hi! I just wanted to give you a bump.
I have not personally done this, but I have a friend who almost did. Her son is 3 and they were really excited about the potential opportunity. I think it would be a great age to do something like that! They are at an age where picking up a second language is easy, they are not yet attached to school friends, and yet they are able to enjoy the experience of a different country. My family spent 6 weeks in Germany when I was 8 and my brother was 5. It was a wonderful experience for us. I remember a lot of it, but he does not, so that is the only drawback I can think of... I hope this works out for you!!

I hope it works out for you. I would go to the military forum and ask there. A lot of the women there have had this experience and they could tell you how it was and how the children coped with it.
