Has anyone here done an embryo adoption? If so, I would like to hear from you. We have been matched with an incredible couple! It has been an amazing journey. Anyway, I just have a lot of questions. Thanks so much!

How exciting!! I don't think embryo adoption is even an option yet in Canada (where I am) so I have no info for you at all! However, this topic is extremely intriguing to me.

I think that its up and coming in Canada. I did have a couple interested in donating their embryos from Canada. Not sure if she ever did so but I would research to find out if anything is happening in Canada.
We are so excited and can't wait! We are trying to get all the legal stuff situated. That's the hard part - there are no laws governing embryo adoption. Most states recognize it as a "property transfer." I'll keep you posted!!!

I know something was going on in Ontario...a lady was trying to get a program running, not sure if she has succeeded or not.

I can imagine the laws must be quite grey...such a new thing...and really quite complicated.

Please DO keep me posted. It's such a new thing, I know so little.

Hubby and I actually looked into Embro adoptions. Does your program require the homestudy? I thought I read some do and some don't. Good Luck . Keep us posted.

I apologize. I wasn't aware of that rule. Thanks for letting me know. The Miracles Waiting site is not fee-based to look for donors. You don't have to pay for anything to search potential donors.
