Okay its been awhile since I've posted here...tend to stick to the foster arena, but here I am.
I am wanting to decorate "my girls" room in a butterfly/dragonfly/flowery way. Its already painted a light purple color. I'm redoing their rooms all around so time to put some nice decor in there. Not 100% sure they are staying forever, but thats my dream.

Does anyone know of some cute ideas? Good places to find decorations? I've hit some Ebay stuff but would like some more things to look at before deciding/buying.

I'm a creative person in my head, but when it comes down to the application sometimes I feel I lack the talent! Easier the better I guess!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Ok...a couple suggestions from a scrapbooker!

You can get some thick wooden picture frames (any craft store like Michaels) and paint them...you can then stick the buggies and such on (either glue on cut outs, stickers or what have you) to decorate the frames.

I've seen big wall stickers....in particular i've seen the butterflies and dragonflies.... they are quite pretty and you can just slap 'em on where you want them.

You can make curtains....use whatever colour (maybe green? a gingham perhaps?) and attatch or applique the bugs on...3D maybe? Perhaps some flowers too?

Another scrapbooker input - I painted my daughter's room a muted (I guess you call it that) green and stenciled purple and blue dragonflies in the corners. Then we did the thing with the picture frames and glued foam dragonflies/butterflies on them. The funny thing is when she moved in another room and gave her room to our son, he wanted to keep the color and he loves bugs, so we got a lot of mileage out of it. We did add a deer and trees on some of the furniture and she already had a blue ceiling fan and curtains, his favorite color is blue. Have fun!

Sounds a little like our theme. We did Gossamer wings theme. sounds like some of their items would go good with your theme
