She definitely is a woman who needs to be in control and adopting internationally gives her the control she needs when she find a country that meets her needs,

I think the above statement can be said about any parent(s) in the whole wide world. I'm not sure why this would be *only true* or *especially true* for Angelina and Brad. Adolescence is sure to be a true test for me and my DH as well. Only time will tell the impact *we* have on our children. And family and friends alike questioned our adoption plan. And quite frankly, I am a woman who needs to be in control and I too look for situations that agree with my personality and that of my family. Why, if it weren't for our looks, Angelina and I are practically twins! (that was a joke!!

It mocks and demeans every single child/family that has grown from adoption...nothing entertaining about that, imo.

I totally agree with your point. I did respond to the e-mail address provided and suggested the next time they would like to print an article on adoption they might consider visiting the orphanages that are filled to the brim with children waiting on a family to love them.

If they did that they just might have a different take on the entire notion of adoption.

Adoption is NOTHING to laugh about or to make a mockery of. But, we are talking about the LA Times and they (editors, publishers, writers...) just don't get it sometimes.

SHAME ON THEM!
