Katy - That totally sux...take care girl. Be good to yourself this weekend.
Inhiswill - That's great that you are getting back into the game.  As for us, we are going away for FOUR WHOLE DAYS!!! Camping trip with my family and we leave at the crack of dawn tomorrow...I can't wait! Although, I still have to remind DH "make sure your phone is charged up and make sure you bring the car charger....and maybe we should tell everyone where we will be just in case..."...I will definitely NOT MISS having to always be in contact with the outside world when all this adoption process is finished. I'm the kinda person who likes to just pick up and take off for the weekend and not have to answer to anyone, but can't be doin that when we are waiting to be matched.  My goal this weekend is to not think about adoption or babies for the next FOUR DAYS...ok, ok, let's be realistic....maybe only try to think about it 50% of the time instead of 100% LOL Hope ya'll have as good a weekend as we intend too!

Mrskt I'm sorry- wish there was something I could say to make it better!
Congrats to all those matched and waiting and baby dust to all still waiting... Me, well we were presented a couple of weeks ago for a baby due May 27th in. The attorney sent a few bios to eparents and we were not considered-not even asked about... This was our first possible match since we started amost two years ago. OMG it was heartbreaking- I couldn't talk about it to anyone without breaking down! The snot and tears flowing freely and freqently for days. Today, I am better than yesterday! The only positive to this -at least we were being presented finally so that was a step forward... You would think after all this time of waiting it would get easier, but its not! I want to go camping with Labgirl! Sounds like a great time! S S

mrskt--I'm so sorry to hear about the news! I hope things will begin to look up for you. Before DS, we experienced 2 failed matches (one after birth and one before birth). I didn't understand and couldn't accept it at the time, but I now know why it happened. Hang in there.
labgirl--Have a great time camping! These past 2 days were rough for us. Yesterday, Devin had his 2 months shots, which caused a fever, fussiness, drowsiness, and decreased appetite...such a change from our always happy and hungry baby. We hope he'll return to his normal self soon! Baby dust all around!!!

Can I join the club?
We got our certificate of approval from the agency TODAY, and are now officially 'approved and waiting' SQUEEEEEEE! Our profile is finished and has been approved, and copies should arrive at the agency by Wednesday. We are VERY excited!!!

Welcome Dallas!!! Of course you can join our club!!
 I look forward to getting to know you better.We had a visit yesterday with M's birthmom and her family - not to mention with her brand-new baby!! Gosh that was one teensy-tiny little peanut!! I've seen quite a few newborn babies lately - I have friends who've had them in the last couple weeks....so it's not like i've just forgotten how small they are...She was so stinkin cute! Anyhoo m played with the older kids - we barely saw him other than a blurry streak as he ran through the house...lol. I re-did our "dear birthmom letter" the other day. I always liked our letter, but something about it didn't sit right. So I did some editting and switching around - I'm very happy with it now. It was so funny when I was trying to pick out the paper....I was looking at the wall with ALL of these different shades of beigey marble papers....and thinking "how the heck do you pick???" Such a small decision but every decision seems so big.. I ended up with a rather dark brown paper.......I like it. LOL

Not long after my last post on Tuesday we received a call that our pbm was heading to the hospital and we needed to meet them there. My dh and I were with her through her labor and then I stayed through the delivery. We now have a sweet little boy. He was born at 1:44 am on Wed and we brought him home on Thursday.
He is very content and we just love to look at him and to hold him. I'm definitely not getting a lot of sleep, but he is worth it.

MT congratulations! He is adorable. Sleepless nights??????? Can you say 3 years old and still is up at times during the night. Oh well, we still love them to death don't we.

CONGRATS MTGIRL!!!! He is the cutest little guy. How wonderful that you got to experience the birth.
Welcome Dallas! This is the place to be for support during the wait. Cel- Hope Devin is doing better. As for us, we got a call this evening (baby already born) I can't give a lot of details, but things look pretty good. Tomorrow we will pick baby up, if all goes as planned. We again are going to have to enter the 30 day revocation period, which just terrifies me. Please pray for our family, and the birth family through this process.
