Hey Leigh - sweet score!! I freecycle, but haven't gotten anything off it yet. I posted a few days ago looking for a Christmas tree but haven't had any responses yet. My mom had one for us, but she ended up getting rid of it and money's a bit tight right now so I really don't want to buy one, but will if I have to.

I got an email back!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so I went home because it's hardly snowing here but everyone goes crazy in TX and snow, planning a vacation I was going to surprise my dh with and BAM email!!!

They wrote it together, a little about thier families, he wrote some of it and she wrote some of it, due in March, they just got back from the dr today (which is what i suspect they were waiting for) and heard the heartbeat.......then in the last sentence they put that they hoped we were interested (OMG ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? YES YES YES LOL) and that they wanted to get to know us and would let us know about the sex of the baby. OMG!!!!!!!

I really thought they picked someone else, changed thier minds, or something. I TOTALLY lost all faith. Wow. FREEEAKING out now. Freaking. I hope my email back was okay, it was long but thiers was too kwim? Leigh and Tara helped me (thanks guys!!)

I've been little miss gourmet today. Or, little miss home cooking. I made corn muffins, chocolate chip banana bread, and am now making chili for supper. I don't know what the heck is wrong with me. Well, I know I'm dorky and everything.

At least J hasn't messed with his wound TODAY. Of course YESTERDAY was a different story - he picked a big chunk out of the healed part. UGH! Some people's kids. I was totally thinking of you, Leigh!!!!!!

Q is having yet another Little Mermaid day today. There just can't be enough of Little Mermaid.

Oh-oh. I'm back to the hospital to pick up J from therapy. Hopefully his therapist has discovered something new and exciting (and hopefully not scary) about J, or at least why he keeps messing with his scars. So.............off into the -5 degree weather, and yes, that's WITHOUT windchill. It's more like -15 or more with the wind.

I have no patience or compassion today....not to do with adoption.....just in general. When i was taking M to MOP's this morning, and he kept INSISTING we drive OUT OF TOWN (NO THAT WAY MOMMY!!) I turned up my christmas music and ignored...LOL...and did the same thing when I picked up M#2 from school...cranked the Christmas tunes....

Then...Im not sure if this is just because Ipersonally have been through alot in this area....but, my friend told me she had a miscarriage (a VERY early one...like a couple days later, kwim?) and I had to pretend to care. What's up with that? All I could think was...yeah, ok.

I think I'm turning into a cow.

Well, I've decided that I needed to have some contact with other people going through the same things that I am.

My husband and I have been on the offical adoptive parent list for 1 month and we have had alot of activity on our account and it has been an emotional roller coaster. I guess we will get used to the "ride".

Anyway, it is so hard sometimes to deal with other people. Today my half sister called to tell me some "good" news. My 17 year old niece is pregnant! Aaaaagh!!! I wanted to just scream!!! Apparently my niece and her boyfriend are going to keep the baby and get married. They have no money, no insurance, no home, no job. It is very frustrating to me.

I hear ya...my nephew's girlfriend is also pregnant...but they haven't been dating long. My nephew's parents have WAY different morals than myself... (LIKE HUGE...think criminal) so I know they are not encouraging him to continue his education....so I pretty much see this as the end for him.

I'm so sad for him......I really had hoped he would "break the cycle" ya know?


Oh well...It's dh's half brother...they weren't raised together.....I dont much care for dh's brother or his commonlaw wifey...but I DO love the kids.

LMAO Leigh and Tara...do you know that is how i felt this morning. My boss was like "Oh, hi! I didn't see you come in" I wanted to slap her. Is that bad? LOL

I think everyone has those days....your slappaeveryabody meter is just set to zero. Luckily our holdbackadaslappa meter is on (sort of).

Thank you all for the good wishes. I sure hope they don't wait until their next appt to contact us. She would be 24 weeks. When do they usually find out the sex? Maybe the little person won't show them.....

The problem with sexing a baby....the baby has to co-operate!! LOL. As for when, that just depends...apparently earlier is easier ...and its easier to sex a boy than a girl...

I think its around 19-20 weeks when you can tell the sex. But I could be wrong..

My niece's baby's sex was determined at 18 weeks.

I'm having another great nephew!!!

If you want to be "cute" with her Natalie...tell her to drink a lot of water before her ultrasound.

I kid you not, this has worked for all I've recommended it to...if it's a boy, his little pee pee will be "wavin' in the womb" from the fluid!!! ROFLMAO

I've got about 3 or 4 pics of "little soldiers" from my friends from doing this hahaha
