Okay so how in the WORLD does an adoptive parent think it's okay to contact you through parentprofiles!?!?!! I mean come ON - do you know how hard my heart skipped a beat when I saw that email!?!?! STUPID STUPID! One just emailed me...saying "hey fellow texan, let's catch up! how's parentprofiles working out for ya?" etc etc. BLECH!!

Okay so....I called them tonight. Noone answered, I left a message saying that I was just calling to introduce myself and see if they got them email I wrote them, then gave them my email/number again. So I guess we'll see. I was THIS CLOSE to throwing up. Ask Tara. I was a MESS and a half. dh had to work late so it was just me...but I'm glad I did it, and we'll see if they answer. Like dh said, maybe they are waiting for the weekend, or for them to be together again to call...who knows.
Maybe they changed thier minds also, I am just nervous to see what happens next. But in GRANDIOSO news I have my meeting tomorrow at 3:00 with the social worker!! yeah!! So we'll see how that goes, ttyl!! Love, Nat

Ok Nat...we've already discussed this...this is SUCH a good possibility!! I can't wait to see how this unfolds!!!
on our end..I received our homestudy in the mail today  So, all I had to do was sign the two forms, and send them back...... They only sent ONE freakin form  seriously...incompetent.....SERIOUSLY.  anyhoo....I called and they said I just had to sign the one and send it back...they'd send me the other if they needed it... Sooo...one step closer. Unfortunately, its still the FIRST freakin step!! lol Oh well!

Wow, guys - so much good news here!!!! (bad english, but good news!!!)
Leigh - yay, your homestudy is done!!!!  That is awesome - and in record time too (haha)Lovebug - did your SW call back? Anything sound promising? Nat - very brave! Hope they call back soon! Good luck with the meeting today - I'm sure it will be fine... So, we are busy making plans and I am working so hard at inducing lactation - and the good news is that I am up to about an ounce every time I pump (which is ALL the time!!!). I just read that i have to get up in the middle of the night to pump - how AWFUL is that! I'm trying to hold hard to the fact that it will all be worth it when our little one is here - but boy, it's tough right now when I am still working etc and have to fit this all in!!! Anyone else have anything new?

Here we go again
Well, we got another contact through Parent Profiles.
She's two months along and thinking about adoption. I had no clue what to say. Especially since this is the seventh contact we've had in two and a half months and the first six were either scammers or went nowhere fast. So I did the usual: when are you due, what made you consider adoption, etc. I'm just afraid that even if she is for real, seven months is a long, LONG time away. I'll hang in there but I'm not holding my breath. Natalie: Good luck! And email your fellow Texans back and tell them that if they want to email you, next time DON'T use a contact form. We had that happen once too right after we activated. Why do they think that's OK?  I just had to because he was there

You can have one of ours! We've got plenty. Really though, I've never seen PP so packed, and I've been watching/active for almost a year. You'll get contacts, you've got a good profile and great pics. I was told by another couple from my state that they didn't get any good contacts until after the holidays. So maybe we're depressed because we're babyless and they're depresssed because they don't know what to do....too bad we can't all get together sooner. Anywho, I'll update if and when there's any news. And don't worry about the one phone call thing. They'll get it together and call you back. They're working on a totally different timetable than you are.

Happy Nov 29th!!! Ok so in my life nothing special has ever happened on Nov 29th, but I guess we should still celebrate right??
Yeah, can you tell today I am 100% bored out of my mind? I am going to the agency tonight for a meeting discussing "alternative" adoption options, international, private (find your own bmom), older child adoptions. My agency deals primarily with infant adoptions, but they had enough interest to have a meeting discussing other options. I figured it couldnt hurt to go, right??  I will fill you all in tomorrow! Hope everyone is having a nice afternoon!
