I was so nervous before we talked to pbparents. my stomach was sick. after just a few minutes of talking i felt at ease. pbm did most of the talking, which was fine with me. i learned more about her then she did about me, lol. agency called back the next day and i missed their call, then the next day, i called back and pbparents had some questions about us. i felt like maybe this would be the deal breaker. but i knew in my heart that if it was meant to be it would be. it is meant to be for us to be involved with this pbfamily. i am so happy. you will be so happy. the best advice i can offer is to have a note pad to write down all the things they say, or at least write it down right after you hang up. there was so much information we got that i couldnt remember what state the pbparents lived in. i didnt want them to think i wasnt paying attention to them so i didnt dare ask them later, i had to wait for clues in our conversation to remind me of where they live, lol!!!! good luck, take a deep breath and go for it.
ps. i would consider calling them. they gave you the # so you could. you want them to know you are definately interested, forget about looking desperate. it is easier to get pumped up and make the call then jump at every ring and then feel uneasy everytime you answer the call. Who on this board is desperate, not me, LOL!!!!!!!!!!

Nat,, that is awesome. Procede w/joy and caution. We've had so many contacts... and changed minds through Parentprofiles, as is the expectant mom's prerogative. However, this sounds like it was meant to be. Hopefully this will be the match made in heaven for you and your DH.
Kristi, read that story about your gram. Amazing. You are blessed to have her in your life and she is truly blessed to have you. I'm in DC with the kids again and leave Fri to go to the clinic w/surroangel. I'm having a blast. Took the kids to see Deck the Halls. Kind of funny, but a bit mature, and predictable too. Weather down here is awesome!

Natalie, as soon as they start talking to you, they will fall in love, I am sure. I know it is nerve wracking - I could hardly breathe the first time we talked to our almost-pbmom. Just take a deep breath, and go for it! Congratulations to both of you. Give us details as soon as you can!!! Oh, and let's spread that baby dust!

Okay yall....trying to decide wether to call or not...what do you think? They did leave us thier number and told us that they would like us to contact them further on the original contact sheet. We sent them an email....should I wait? Should I not call? Or should I call just to let them know that communication is open?
Gosh....stupid sense leaves me just as soon as I get one contact! LOL

Little boys, and phone call to make, oh my!  Three pages of posts since this morning...busy here today! Natalie- I second the idea of keeping paper with you while on the phone. Even if you write down key words to remember later. After the call I would write everything you remember, it may be important later. If you have questions, they will get answered. I am sure they will love you. I am sure they are just as nervous as you are. Crossing my fingers for you!
