FUN!!
My husband and I are dorks - we get on a kick of specific knicknames and stick to 'em. We have lately been caling EVERYONE in our household by names that end in "ness". So... DH = Hubby-ness I am = Wifey-ness Cats are = Monty-ness, Derby-ness and Weffy-ness. More normal ones include DH calling me "Sweetie" and me calling DH "Honey". I fear for our future children - they're going to know verey early that their parents are weird - God only knows what we'll call them.

Alright... normally I just lurk but I think I'll join in on this one.
As a previous poster said, I fear for my child when she grows up. She'll probably get in trouble in school for calling others the names we use at home! For DH: Dorkbutt, butt-dork, cutie (most the time I use this one), CSM (short for "cutie sexy man" -- my all time favorite -- this one is also interesting when we go to Wal-mart and they page for a CSM ), and when I really want something "sweetie" said in a sing-song voice (this works like a charm, lol!)DH for Me: Punk, Mama Punk, dork, and on cards or tags "Pretty Polar Bear", he'll also use dorkbutt but not as often as I use it for him. He also calls me something else when I'm being "bad" but I don't think he'd like for me to share it. ![]() For DD: DH's nickname for her is Ellie but he'll also refer to her as his 7 pound food processor, I'll call her cute-stuff or sugar-bug (though I'm trying to stop with the sugar-bug as that's what we want to use when she brushes her teeth -- she's washing the sugar-bugs away). When she was first born and we were in the hospital with her I'd call her "My Precious" like Smegol does in The Lord of the Rings. DH would just roll his eyes! My mom calls DD bubble-butt.Kitty #1: Sev-meister, Sir Pukes-a-lot, Sir Cries-a-lot, Little Punk (it's a wonder he answers to his name: Seven) Kitty #2: Fudgie, Fudgie-pudgie, Fudgieway, and DH will also refer to her as "The Daughter of Satan" (her name is Fudge) |

My husband's name is Tracy, I either call him Trace or Babe.
My daughter is called mama, the only problem is she now thinks that all babies are mama and when I say baby she replies with mama. My name is Brandy so I am sometimes called Brandywine by my hubby.

Fun thread!
Our son is mostly Shupie Guy (It means nothing, but I called a niece SHupie Girl when she was tiny. I think it was a cross between Cutie and Sweet or something) LIttle Man or Mister Man, A.P., he's my Chickie Baby (I even made a chickie ticker, but can't figure out how to get it to work here), Bubby (also what I used to call one of the dogs). Sometimes Poopsie.

Our little guy has been called everything from turkey, pumpkin, stinker butt, to bubby and the list goes on....
But the one that seems to have stuck is RJ Reynolds (for the cigarette guy). We are using his initials RJ (too many other R's in the family) and at one point dh added reynolds and that was the end. Hopefully we can taech him that reynolds isn't really part of his name before he goes to school. |
