Breastfeeding

We were recently matched with a baby girl due in June. I would love to breastfeed the baby and am hoping for any feedback from those who have tried it.

Thanks!

I haven't breastfed as I haven't adopted yet, but I want to do so when I do adopt.

One place I would suggest you look is here: http://forums.adoption.com/forumdisplay.php?f=506
There's tons of parents that have breastfed.

Congratulations on your upcoming arrival!!!

Hi!

I can't offer any experience, but I think there is a doctor..hmmm..Jack Newman? Something like that..he made up protocals, depending on how much time you have. Google him and do some reading. There are medications that help (Domperidone sp?) as well as herbs (fenegreek?) and oatmeal.

Good Luck!

I sucessfully breastfed for 9 mo. until she weaned herself this past Dec. It was the best thing I ever did and miss it tremendously If your interested in how I did it, feel free to PM me.
