Phone Interview with pbmom... HELP
Hi Everyone,
Well my DH an I got a call today from our agency and they have a pbmom who would like to dpo a phone interview with us! I was wondering how to make our personalities come across over the phone. Also if anyone has reccomendations on questions to ask the bmom. I am soooo excited. I am trying to keep myself grounded but you guys know how hard that can be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would say don't focus on the baby, ask about HER, how she's doing, feeling, etc. Ask about her likes and dislikes.
Think of it as meeting someone for the 1st time at a party, or work, or something like that--what would you talk about? Just be yourselves!

Be yourselves. If you like, start out with a brief 'blurb' - I used to say "Hi. I'm Regina, DH is XX. I bet this is really hard for you. How about I start by telling you a bit about us? DH is AD/USN, getting ready to retire. He works on F-14 Tomcats, the plane that was in "Top Gun". I work in healthcare. We live in a house with a big porch and big backyard. DH loves to grill, and I love to sit on the porch in the morning!
Do not bring up her pregnancy or anything around her reasons for making her adoption plan unless she does, and only go as far as she wants. There's plenty of time for that if you connect and you pay your agency and attorney to ask the 'hard' questions. HTH, best of luck. Regina

I just wanted to 2nd some of the other posts, ask her about her and ask about things you may already know about her from the agency, but let her bring up the pregnancy. Ideally your agency will facilitate the conversation.
