About $20,000 for China and $13,000 for Haiti. It seems weird to talk about money when dealing with how we got our children. I know it is a very valid Question though. Good luck with all of your decisions.

Both of our adoption's were right around 28k. Our first was from Korea and both dh and I traveled to Korea to bring our daughter home, even though escorting was an option. Our 2nd adoption was from China, and we had THE most expensive agency out there I think. We found our daughter on their wc's list. I traveled by myself and with airfare, they REQUIRE you use their travel agent, and their flat rate for in-country expenses it was about the same as Korea. They also charge more for sn's adoption. Well, ours was about $10,000 before I decided to foster! We did an independent adoption, and there are NO in-country fees. All of our money was spent on dossier prep, INS, Nica lawyer fee, and my first visit trip. I think we have paid over $1,000 for authentications alone!! Since comping back down here, and being here for over 10 weeks, I have spent WAY more! It was my option, though, and not something planned. I have also had my son with me the whole time, and everyone knows how expensive a baby is! Also, baby stuff here is SO expensive!!!
PM me if you want more info on international, independent adoption! I have had a GREAT experience!!
