crazy adoptive lady
Hi everybody! Just wanted to give a quick update about my pbmom's ultrasound. It's kind of odd because she's due any day, but this was to be her first ultrasound. Bless her heart, her ride didn't show up and she has no phone. I have now gained another 10 lbs waiting on the news to find out if it's healthy and a boy or a girl, when there is no news! She's rescheduled for this Fri. if she doesn't have it by then. Have you ever heard of a waiting adoptive mom missing out on her child because she went crazy first? I feel like I'm heading that way. I'm not a patient person. If I would have been matched with her early on I would now weigh 400 lbs. Thanks for letting me vent!
Beth bs, 9 fd, 2 RU pbmom due any day! |

it's not a process for the faint of heart, that's for sure. I'm quite thankful that we were only contacted about a match 5 days before she went into labor. never had time to panic too much about the match itself, too busy panicking about the travel aspects, lol.
hang in there! Lisa

Good luck, Beth!! I'm not much of a patient person either, so I can only imagine how you feel right now. I was lucky like Lisa, we were contacted after our son was born and it was a complete whirlwind of activity right after that, I didn't have time to be anxious or panic at all!

Shhhh! I did go crazy before babe got here, but that doesn't go any further than the two of us, okay?
We had a 6 month long match with her bmom. In a lot of respects it was nice (bonding, hearing about dd's progress, etc.,) but the waiting...sheesh. I gained 40 lbs last year if that tells you anything. That stays between us, too. Thank goodness 26 of those pounds are gone, but still!Sending you lots of and some snacks, of course!![]()

Hang in there! We got the call that our baby was already born and TPR signed (she was 3 days old) so we didn't get a chance to think, just fly out and get her! I think I would have gone crazy any other way.

Crina and I can both relate. we went crazy together. I can tell you that going to the Dr. with bmom 3 times a week for 2 months was just as nerve wracking. I felt like we would never get to delivery day. When it did come it was so fast I think time sped up to make up for all of the months before. My only advice is to do something you like that you wont be able to do after babe arrives. Like read or all day shopping or camping. Hang in there...........
