Getting Closer!
Our social worker called today to tell us that the pbmom is doing well and is now dilated to 3 cm. Our worker will call us once the pbmom goes into the hospital, which could be any day now! We were told to keep our cell phone on and with us at all times. My heart is pounding. I am excited and nervous at the same time.
For those of you familiar with the stages of labor, how long can you remain at a 3? I've heard of women being at a 1 for several weeks, but the people I know of who were at a 3 usually delivered within a week. Is that typical? Please keep us, the pbmom and the baby in your thoughts and prayers. We're hoping all goes well!

It could go either way. I walked around at 3 for 4-5 weeks but I think that's rather unusual.
VERY EXCITING!! Keep us posted ![]()

Dee,
It just totally depends on the woman and how fast or long things progress. Is this her first? That could make a difference too. Anyway...congratulations and I pray all things go smoothly from here for all of you!! Janet |

Dee-
We had a pbmom dilated to 4cm for 4 weeks! I was at 2-3 for 2 weeks before they induced. But I have also heard a lot of people who say they went from 2 or 3 to having the baby withing a couple days!Sending positive thoughts your way!

Thanks, everyone! This is her first child, so things could move slowly. However, her due date is just 10 days away, so things probably won't drag on for several weeks.
This is so exciting and nerve-wracking! We have never been this close to becoming parents before and sure hope everthing works out.
