Well as some of you know, we lost an adoptive placement just before Thanksgiving and went right back on the waiting list. I just got a call from the agency that we have a pbcouple wishing to meet with us next week. They've picked us, another couple and a single lady to meet with back to back. They're due in April.
It's hard trying not to get too excited and I'm failing miserably! What the heck, might as well enjoy this as long as I can. They want a very open adoption which we would love as well.I will let you all know how the meeting goes next week. Wish us luck! Simone |

Thank you all for your support!
Your continued encouragement means more to me than you could possibly know. It may turn out to be nothing or we could be chosen and this could be the one. Either way something's happening and that's nice. I hate the looong weeks when time seems to have slowed to a stop and you wonder if your profile will sit gathering dust at the agency for ever. ![]() |

I tried to maintain the attitude you have throughout our wait, as well. I tried so hard to tell myself "that wasn't our story" and move on, allowing grieving if it came. This August, I had my office phone in one hand, accepting the news that the pbmom we had been matched with for 4 mos had decided to parent at birth and my cell phone in the other, answering a call from our facilitator that a pbmom wanted us to adopt her baby. That little girl is now in my arms and in my heart, born the day after T-giving. Don't stop believing! You only want the right situation and this one might be it. I'll keep you in my thoughts, as so many people did during our wait this fall. susan

Oh Simone, that is awesome. No matter what happens I know you will hang in there to be a mom again. Your spirit of optimism and strength is so great.
