LOL!

Honestly? We're treating it like any other Saturday. We'll have plenty of family time and both kids will be in bed by 8. Staying up late just messes up their schedules too much. Besides, Mommy and Daddy won't be able to stay up until midnight either. Maybe we'll celebrate New Years Day in England.

Schedule as usual for Bug, and probably for us. We will most likely be snoozing in the new year...

My Dh laughed when I read what you two wrote! LOL I think we will be doing the same thing...sleeping before new years! But since I wake up at about 3 EST it will be New Years on the west coast! LOL I feel bad that we won't be going out this year...but that is life. My Dh will take B and LA to the movies and I will enjoy some alone time with SAMI B and LA are often in bed and asleep by 7:30 so at least my Dh and I can have a nice dinner in BED LOL

I love how you put that Bug, snoozing in the new year!! LOL

God Bless and Have a wonderful New Year

Summer

We will be bringing in the New Year at church. The will be sleeping and we'll just carry them to the car and into the house.

ah, we'll stay home. After witnessing dd in church for christmas eve services in the early evening, we've learned from our experiences, lol. It will probably go as last year: dd in bed, mom falling asleep before midnite, and dh watching the ball drop (boring!). a rip-roaring good time had by all .

one thing we might do during the day if it isn't raining. Kidspace, a kid's museum play area, is having a kid's celebration, which has bubbly (apple cider) and balloons at noon. sounds like it might be fun for dd.

We don't have children yet, but I think EVERYONE we know does. We are having a low-key party here at the house with about 8 couples and the little ones are invited. We have guestrooms set up already for the kids to crash and fortunatly...we even have a crib now for my friends 1 mo. Anyway, we expect it to be a low key evening, but we love the fact that our good friends will be celebrating with us again. Last year everyone left shortly after midnight pooped because none of us are used to staying up "late" anymore! LOL!!! I think next year if we do this again, we'll have 2 paid babysitters upstairs with all the kids as they will be older then plus one more hopefully (ours!). Anyway, that's our night!

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and dream the new year in well!

Blessings!

Smile relaxing....

Making a nice filet mignon on the grill - our typical New Year's celebration. Maybe just a little later than normal so Baby T is asleep!! And watching a movie, and eating icecream for desert!! Either way, with T in the house - it is the best new years ever!

We all have colds in our house this new years - so I am sure we won't see the ball drop!!

Kids in bed like usual. The 14 year old is having a sleepover here ..so they will control the TV. DH will work..ah the resturant industry. I will be here, like every other night, online.
But I will open a bottle of my Christmas wine. Woohoo..more typos then usual!

We are having a couple from church over who have girls the same age as our boys, oh fun. We are cooking a big pot of chili and making all sorts of snack food and playing board games. Of course the big kids will shot off fireworks at midnight and then we will all jump in bed to sleep before church Sunday morning. We are the lucky ones to have the "party" this year since we have the little one and it is just eaiser to be able to put her to bed at her regular time.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL........

so here I am...it's almost midnight here in New England, we had Seafood fettucini, ice cream, egg nogg and a movie...now I'm here, and my DH and DD are sound asleep in the recliner behind me. I'm watching Sleepless in Seatle" and in about 5.5 minutes I might switch over and watch the ball drop. Not sure. It's going to be a great year no matter if I see it in or not, but I can't help but think about Lori.
