Perhaps one person could drive and the other could fly? Keeping in mind that I am totally not an RV person. . . If your stay is more than a few days I think you might really regret the RV Park idea. Especially if you bring your older daughter with you. That's pretty tight quarters when you add in a newborn who may not sleep on the same schedule as your daughter, may cry a lot while you are figuring each other out etc. . . We were planning on staying at a suite type place with a bedroom door that shut and preferably 2 bedrooms if we had an out of state placement. Balancing 2 kids is an acquired skill. I most definately would not want to be learning it in an RV.

Michelle,

The dr's thing was surprisingly not about the ear pressure. She said not to fly because the cabin air is all re-circulated and not fresh. People who fly have greater risk of becoming ill. For most adults and even most children that isn't an issue. A child who is only a few weeks old doesn't have the immune system to fight it. the Doc said that if it were more than 10 hours in teh car, then yes, it's a trade off for the flight. Her point to us was that it's only 5 hours by car, and with a stop (or two) to feed and diaper, it was better to drive.

Personally, I am a flyer and hate to drive long distances. The thought of a camper situation for that long of a drive makes me want to cry for you. To each his own though. Let us know what you do, I think it's funny. Your husband may really regreat his choice after the trip is done! LOL!
