Pip - I might've missed you posting about it already, but I was wondering, how'd the first meeting go?

Thanks for asking, only a couple of people turned up for the first meeting as the weather had been bad ... snow and icy road conditions so I knew there would be a low turn out. One adoptive mum couldn't get there as she couldn't get a babysitter for her 7 yr old (adopted) and 5 yr old twins (bio) but she is determined to get there on Tuesday. Funny thing is she knows I am quite friendly with her eldest's bmum so it has helped our friendship greatly as she uses me as a sounding board at times. She and bmum know they can trust me which is the greatest compliment they can give me. Anyway the first meeting did go well and a couple of church members were there for support as well so we had a good time ... went too quickly. One of the church members there is a counsellor for children in care so he found it quite enlightening to listen to the other side of things. When he isn't at work he will come to the meetings.
