Last night we got the good news from our social worker that potential birth parents from our home state have decided to move forward with an adoption plan and have picked us! If all continues to go well, we could be bringing home a baby girl next month.
Some of you may remember that I posted a few weeks ago about this situation. Our social worker met with the potential birth parents for the first time then, but they weren't yet ready to commit to an adoption plan at that point. We have been hoping and praying ever since we first heard about this situation. The strange thing about being matched is that I don't feel at all like I expected I would. Of course, I am so glad we are finally matched again. But I am afraid to get too excited. I know that so much can happen between now and then. I just don't want to get my hopes up too much and then be disappointed. Has anyone else felt this way? Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We are really hoping that all goes well and are so ready to be parents!

Dee, Congrats. I am so excited for you. When is the due date?
I know exactly how you feel. Ever since we been matched I feel the same way. We only have 12 days, and I am excited, but It doesn't seem real. We are being very cautious with our emotions. Maureen
