a little insight mabe
hello, i was hoping to get a little advice. as a birthmother i fealt it was important to write a thank you letter to people who adopted my children. i was hoping to get a little advice from a adoptive parent on this letter i would like to know if it is ok. i am leaving the names out for privacy.
hello, i hope all is well. i just wanted to start off by saying that i really appreciate you taking the time to read this letter. it really means alot to me. i want to reassure you that my intentions are simple and in no way am i trying to interfere in your lives or the boys. in case you are wondering why i am writting you this letter. i really wanted to thank you. you are probabally wondering why especially when the adoption has been closed and finalized. i reallly fealt that i didnt give you enough credit, especially when i know you deserved it so very much. the whole reality of it all was that i was in denial of everything. not that i am using this as an excuse in any way. having you guys become the boys parents was the best thing that could of happened to them. i reallly knew you guys were special from the start. you embraced the children as they were your own. i know it wasnt easy coming into but you did it so gracefully. i belive they are so very blessed to have you in thier thier lives. i know i will always be grateful for the time i had with them but im more equally excited that you guys have thier future. i know they will grow up to be such smat safistcated men. i know that you are such wonderful parents and i feel that it is really important for you to know that i am so very apprecitave and thankfull for you. i know we havent always seen eye to eye but i want you to know that i truly have a profound amount of reaspect for you guys. wriitng this letter has given such a new sense of healing. i really appreciate your time. thank you i truly mean it from the bottom of my heart. you are such wonderful people and wonderful parents. i hope you and your children have such wonderful and properious lives thank you sincerly leah hart Last edited by leah hart : 10-30-2005 at 10:24 AM. |

A letter like that would mean the world to me, and it would be something I would keeep for the kids. I think it is very thoughtful of you, and I think it you should send it. It sounds to me that it was from your heart.
Blessings, Dianna |

I think it is wonderful, and heartfelt. If I received a letter like that I would save it forever and share it with the children. It's very sweet of you to give them that reassurance that you believe in them.

Leah, that is a beautiful letter with a great deal of sentiment.
I would love to receive a letter like that from the mothers of my children. I would treasure it always as would my children. Take care. ![]()

Hi Leah,
My husband are waiting to be adoptive parents. I read your email, and think that it is wonderful. I know that we would be honored to receive a supportive, loving letter like yours once we adopt. Take care, Amy |

leah, that's a very nice letter and I'm sure the adoptive parents will really be touched that you took the time to write down your true feelings and thank them. I think it's awesome. Good for you!

taramayrn, the beauty of this letter is that I don't think leah expects a reponse. It was written genuinely to express her gratitude and support. Nothing else. |

Leah I also wanted to express my thoughts, as an adoptive parent. If I received a letter with those words I would be brought to tears. Joyous, warm comforting tears. Your words are beautiful and I can only imagine that the adoptive parents of the boys will cherish your sentiment.
I wish for you much peace and happiness in your life. ![]()
