Actually, the poll option only allows for ten "options" but, you can (I figured out earlier today on a fluke) click to edit the poll (as a moderator) and it gives you the option to add two more choices each time...so thats what I did for all the extra options - edit, submit, edit, submit, edit, submit

Alright......out of the seven children, there have been three different types of adoption. I held 'my ctrl key' to press three different options, and I'm hoping that all three registered?

how come there is only an option for birth parents closing the adoption or changing it? in my case we were in a fully open adoption through foster care and i changed it to semi-open due to effects on my son from bmom's inapproriate behavior. unfortunatley adoptive parents change the terms of the adoption also

mckenna, perhaps you can just select the option closest to your situation then? That's what I did.

With all the types of adoptions, and so many choices surely you don't expect all of them to be included? No matter which ones are on there, there will be someone it doesn't exactly fit.

Just repeating my reply from the other poll -

I think since we have never heard back from our daughter's bmom (dd's now 4), despite the fact that we send pictures, updates, and requests for information to the agency, I have to officially label this as a closed adoption for now.

thanks brandi, i realized you could not fit everyone in, but it seemed like all the semi-open or open and later closed was due to the bparents when in reality, we all know aparents close adoption (unfortunatly not always for appropriate reasons)

Bump - I added Semi-Open w/intermediary contact w/bparent(s): Pictures and letters sent thru third party - International because I obviously have corn flakes for brains today.

Our son's adoption is closed by his birthparents choice. Our current match will be semi-open with communication through the attorney's after the adoption.
