Poll: How did you adopt your child/ren?

Hi all!

The moderating team has been talking about how the POLLING feature available on the forums has been underutilized, so we thought we'd try to post some polls that both old and new members might find interesting and informative.

This poll will focus on those who’ve completed the adoption process for their child/ren. If your child/ren's adoption isn't yet finalized, please hold off on voting until it is, so the results aren't skewed.

For this poll, your names are hidden from voters and moderators – those that vote can only vote once and its completely anonymous unless you elect to post how you voted to the thread.

If you have an idea that you think would make a good poll, please let a member of the moderating team (myself, Crick, BrandyHagz, Kiwi) know! We can do as many or as few as you’d like.

Remember that voting does not bump the poll, so if you’d like to see others participate, you’ll need to bump it up until the poll is closed.

Thanks!
Heather

Heather -

I just voted - but have a comment. Limiting to one vote per person may limit your results. We've adopted twice (both happen to have been private/independent) but others may have adopted more than once using different methods, and can only vote for one of their methods. Just a thought...

Voting Options

I just voted and checked two different options - private/independent and domestic/agency ... assuming they both took ... but the above poster indicates maybe not ...

Thanks

Shoot I thought I had to vote with only one option per vote. We have done:

Two independent adoptions
One Domestic Agency
One Foster/Adopt

Mine was odd, I was registered and waiting with a domestic agency, on their web list when I was found by bmom who picked us, but due to age of child, agency elected NOT to do adoption and we got a lawyer and went private.... unsure so I chose agency as we wouldn't have connected otherwise...
