Wink This day has been crazy...and it is only 9am

[color=Black][color=Purple]Good Morning! Well I am trying to figure out if it is good or not.

It is my Birthday, which is great. My Husband and son sang to me when I first woke up.

Then I had to get ready because I had to get to work early. When I was getting out of the shower my DH (he is my Dumb Husband this Morning ) informed me that he left the garage door open last night and it looks like my minivan was gone through. I went out and checked it, and yes it had. My work laptop was stolen, my cell phone, my check book, my purse (after they emptied it, I don't know why, I bought it on sale for $18.00), and they stole a 12 pack of Labat Blue from the mini fridge in our garage. Now a list of what they left - my drivers license, my corporate credit card, my sons social Security card, my work ID, 20 DVD's, Bikes. I don't understand why they did not take the credit cards???

After the police came, I called work. My boss is giving me the day off. That is great, if I did not have to worry about a meeting that I have this afternoon.

The real highlight of today is that we did send in our application to one agency. I think we have decided on this one, but we have two appointments next week with other agenies, just so that we feel we covered all our bases.

Hopefully the day will keep getting better. Thanks for letting me share.

Maureen, I am so so sorry; that just bites. I don't mean to laugh at your misery, but. . .

there is a tad bit of humor in THIS. Of course, they did not take the big things, and well, for the credit cards, they would get caught. Sounds like kids to me. I am just glad that they did not attempt to come into your house, really!

Take care of yourself today, and congratulations on the application. It is really a big first step.

Thank you. I agree this is a tad bit funny. The things they took, they are not going to get any use out of, except the beer

Checkbook - was for my spare account, and wel...l there is no spare money in it right now.

They did take 2 prepaid debit cards - I got these as gifts and used all the money on them

Laptop - With out my password, they can not eve get pass the first screen

Cell Phone - The battery was dead, I kept forgeting to charge it.

Even though it was my stuff stolen, I fing it somewhat funny. DH on the other hand does not see the humor. I just think he feels stupid for forgetting to shut the garage when he came home.

Perhaps they drank the beer first AND then in their drunken stupor decided what to take? Does sound like teens...

Sorry this happened though and I'm sure it made for a stressful morning!

Happy Birthday!! (and since you've got the rest of the day off if you wanted, you could certainly go treat yourself to a spa day!)

every once in a while you have to have a day like today, just so you appreciate those other days, which feel slightly icky, but can't be compared to today . Hunker down under the covers and wait for tomorrow!

hope the rest of the day is better,

Lisa

Happy Birthday!!! Heres hopeing the rest of your day goes a whole lot better.

Atleast the thieves in your area have good taste in their preferred brand of beer. LOL

Try to recoup whats left of your day, especially with the day off.

Warm wishes,,,MamaTo6
