Very good point... maybe she was looking for an openning to talk about it. After all how many other families can she go to that have even the slightest parallel to her own? I would give this serious thought, and considered it an openning to bring it up again.

Everytime I hear one of these stories I think aren't we in a new age & a new day. Old habits and ways die hard.

What do you think of a person who has the child lie about the AA part of their background? The child knows who his father is and the fathers race but family encourages him/her to lie about it.
