I have a question - I'm going through the adoption process as a single applicant... My mum and my sister would both like to participate in these forums, but I can't really find a "place" where they belong... The grandparents' forum is for grandparents who are adopting thier grandchildren, but my mum wants a place where she can talk to other people who have been made grandparents by adoption.

I am sure they can just read the general boards and participate but I have to say that I am kind of glad my mother and sister do not read the forums. Trust me, there will be at least one time when you need to vent about them or say something that you do not want people you see everyday to judge you about. Its nice to have somewhere to turn that is anonymous. Just a thought.

Well, they have been looking at the general forums too, and I guess they'll continue with that.

I've got a good relationship with both of them, and if ever I have a problem with anything they say/do, I'm very direct with them! I rant TO them about it HAHAHA
