I am 32 or thereabout! and just found out that I am adopted, while attending my "adoptive grandmother"'s funeral. My "adoptive dad" has been somewhat honest w/me, but my "adoptive mom" denies my adoption, even though my "dad" told me the truth. All I know is that when I was a child, I remember my birth Grandparents (MaryNell & Richard) very well, up until I was about 4, I think. (I was adopted at 6mnths from what I was told) I was always told that they were just really good friends of my "adoptive parents" and then oneday, they just quit coming around. I have asked about them throughout the years, and now that I think about it, everytime I did, my "adoptive parents" would change the subject.
I have done some research myself and believe that my grandmother has passed away and my grandfather may still be alive and possibly have an address/phone number. It is very important for me to find someone in my real family, as growing up, my "adoptive mom" physically abused me terribly until the age of 17. I have very bad female problems and realize that everytime I've been to the doctor and gave my family med history, it was a LIE! Supposedly, my "birth mom"'s nam is Pam. My "adoptive dad" said that my Grandparents were MaryNell & Richard Smith. I will be grateful for any information.
