Adoption finalized
I have not been here in a long time. But i just wanted to announce the adoption of my foster daughter. We adopted her on the 16th of Feb.

Congratulations! That's so exciting! How old is your daughter? Did you have family present at the court appointment?
Jacob's finalization is right around the corner, 3/14. We're planning on having some of our family there to help us mark the occassion! Thanks for sharing!

Overwhelmed with joy! Proud mom to our precious little boy! Our family was formed through the miracle of adoption. __________________ 2/14/06- Sent out a newsletter to family & friends to spread the news that we're looking to adopt a 2nd newborn. 2/26/06- A friend called us about a potential situation, that wasn't meant to be. We're just happy that friends & family are watching out for us! 12/5/06- A friend of a friend has informed us of a potential situation. We're currently exploring this option. 12/18/06- The lead we were given was not the right situation for us. We're still looking. 5/10/07- Began 10 weeks of PS-MAPP classes for foster-to-adopt program.

Congratulations!!! I know what a relief it is because we just finalized on our foster daughter Jan 31st (placed at birth -- now 2). It doesn't change the way you feel about them -- they're already family, but it sure does relieve a LOT of stress over dealing with the system.

Congrat to you. We Finalize our adoption with my son on March 11th and he will be 15 months old but I am sad at the same time for his birthfamily...

Thanks everyone it is good to know it's over with and she is finally ours. No our family was not present at the adoption just us and our son who also is adopted. We are working on fostering/adopting more.
