I am going to give this one more try. I just want a place where my frinds can me and talk. I hope all you ex EATER's will join me. I am going to try and rebuild our house. SO I will refrain from venting about the state of the rest of the board in hopes that this thread won't be closed and deleted, I will save that for a different time and space.
Lets see since I can't go back and see how every one is doing today. I will just have to see what I can remember. Renee: how is Alex today? I hope he is feeling better. Judy: how is that new little one. The pictures were great. Steph: how are things going? T: how is MS doing with the teething? M is not sick with it but she sure gets fussy. Dasha: Where are you I haven't heard from ya in a while. B: good luck it is this week right? I know there are a ton of people I am forgetting but once you guys start posting I will get back in the groove. See you guys tonight in Chat. I am hoping to be on later this evening. Laura

I'm glad you started the thread back up! I was a lurker before, because the thread was so long, but this gives me an opportunity to jump right in!
I received an ultrasound picture in the mail the other day! We still don't know the sex of the baby but how exciting! She turned 19 weeks yesterday! ALmost halfway there! Its rainy and yucky here today so the boys are all trapped in the house! My daughter is at work. The kids are all done with school for the day, so I better find 'em somethjng productive to do! Have a good afternoon!

Laura - You really are so sweet aren't you!?! I'm afraid it's going to take some time before I feel safe enough to post anything here. I'm getting nasty ratings telling me to go make my own group now.
lol We did that already! If there's anyone who hasn't figured out where we are yet please just let me know! (Long term EAT lurkers included LOLOL) I'm sure I won't be able to stop coming here to read. I just don't have that kind of restraint but I'll certainly post other places. I love you all too much! Steph - hope you are hearing something today!

Hi ladies:0)
I've been checking out the boards all day. I was just getting to know everyone and now things are falling apart. Yuck!!!! I hate when things like this happen. My day hasn't been to bad. Dd is napping and I finally showered and should be getting things done around here but I'm an addict to these forums. My dh has been home the last few weeks so he catches me on here all the time. He just laughs and says "whatcha reading". Hope to see more of you eaters. Have a good day all. ~Maria |

I have been reading alot of the post on this forum for a long time and do post when I feel I have something to say. I really feel bad when we loose members on a forum the same thing has happened with another forum I belong to. I feel that we are all possably losing some good information, input, and support. How do I find out where some of my support has gone? So I have yet another forum to read lol. I hope I did not say anything wrong to get this post closed.

Laura~ I know why you did this and I don't care what you say it is a sweet gesture. I have though long and hard about this since yesterday. I tossed and turned over it last night. I came to the conclusion that I was never coming back here...until I saw this thread and read your words.
You are right we need to be here for newbies and oldies and anyone else who needs a safe place to land here. I have got so many E-mails and PM's from people I've never even heard of before who lurk here who wanted to share with me how much EAT meant to them and how devasted they are that it was closed. Those messages really spoke to my heart. I didn't realize that EAT meant so much to so many! It also touched me when you put the link to the original EAT here...it made it like it's still here that way. As long as this thread is going then EAT is here...all of our great history is here. And since it's at the beginning of this thread easily found. Nice touch Laura. I just don't think that people here realize how much EAT meant to us and how it's not replaceable. With the link here though I now don't feel like this thread is a replacement, but instead an extension of our beloved original EAT. I hope the other EATers will come here too. For some though it may take awhile. And some of our friends were banned yesterday. So I'm in..not because I just can't stay away from here, but for the reasons I stated above. Sometimes we just have to put our feelings and wants aside for the good of others. So why don't we pick a new name and get on with our friendships here; old, new, and those yet to come! EAT LIVES...you can't keep a strong thread down or the ladies' behind it! ![]() Thanks Laura! Judy |

LOL T! However....well I just won't go there for obvious reasons! LOL...lets do some brainstorming.
Although I am with Cam, I don't know how much I will post personally for awhile. Just doesn't seem safe. Maria - I have tried to PM you but you did not make Private Messaging available. YOu need to go into user cp and scroll through options to find where you can turn it on. Anne - good to see you! missed you! Names, I just don't feel good about using EAT anymore. How about "break time" as a SAHM, that is what being online is to me... other ideas? Kathy...there now I am subscribed. sigh. |

Laura,
I took MS to the doc yesterday and we changed her formula. Doc said her formula was to rich and that coupled with the teething that was tearing up her stomach. She is getting so big, too. She is 24 3/4" and 12.6lbs. Her weight stayed the same from 3 weeks ago but she did grow the 3/4" in that time. Her 3 mo clothes are still big on her, except of course her jammies with feet. Her legs are way to long and she has to curl up her toes in them!! She's chewing on EVERYTHING. She's like a puppy. It is so funny to watch her gum everything. So what's up with M? How is she doing? T

Hi Everyone!
I was going through withdrawal! Yippee! EAT lives! I have been thinking of you all. I wanted to tell everyone about how my first "waiting families" group went, but my forum "home" was shut down...so here goes... It was a telling night at group as most of the families there were from the Korea program. When we went through our first adoption 2 years ago, many of the families were adopting from Columbia and Guatemala. There were long waits in those countries at the time. Now it seems to be that Korea has the frustrating wait times. Not so much the wait for referral, but the wait for placement after referral. We were able to travel for our son and bring him home at four months...now they are telling us the babies have to wait five plus months to travel (referral at two months)! I am heart broken. I cannot imagine the wait time after referral. I thought that it would be easier the second adoption, but apparently not! I will be fine...just need to start doing lots of projects around the home. I am still feeling fortunate to be part of a group that meets once a month at the agency! When we were going through introductions, I said that we'd be in the group until the summer of 2006! I am so glad many have come to this new thread. Judy, I still haven't seen a picture! CONGRATS again! Andrea

Hi Judy and Theresa. Glad to see you girls. I feel so bad for you all. The eat thread was most awesome and I can understand how devastated you are. I had lurked for a long time before I ever posted and you are a great bunch to hang around with. For the past week I've even read the first 100 pages of the eat thread just to see where you've all been and what I missed. My goal is to read it all.
Judy~I'm so happy for you and your family. I would love to see a picture of your sweet baby boy if you would like to share one. Well, must go. My lil Diva is needing her mama. ~Maria |
