I'm curious, how many other parents of RAD children are here?

Our youngest daughter has RAD (Mild) She has been hooked up with a great counselor and the last few months have been a learning experience for me.

I had a lot I needed to leanr about parenting a RADish

Hi Judilyn,

Our dd is 3 and her pediatrician believes she has RAD as well as being hyperactive and possibly FAE. We are STILL waiting to hear from her pediatrician that they've found a place to evaluate her.

I have joined a support group on line and have already started using some things that were suggested there and am, believe it or not, seeing a difference in her.

RAD is an interesting adventure for parents. 3 of my 9 still have RAD and 2 still have many issues of attachment. If you post on the special needs/attachment section you'll see many more parents with your challenges.

www.radzebra.org has lots of information for struggling families.(They also have a group for parents of kids with mile RAD that's fairly new)

www.attachment.org is Nancy Thomas website and it's also full of information.
