I am an adopted child, but what this is about is some research help I could use. I am writing a report for my families class at school, and my thesis is about how the adoption affects the lives of the adopted children, the birth mother, and the new parents. I figured the best way to get research would be to talk to as many adoptive families as I could, unfortunately because my area is a small town, there are not a lot of families that I know that are in this situation. Next step, message boards! So if anyone would be willing to anonymously send me their response to these questions, I would appreciate it:
“How has the adoption affected your (and your mate’s if applicable) life since it occurred?”
“Were there any unanticipated problems that have occurred since the adoption?”
As I said, the responses can be anonymous, that is perfectly fine. If you feel that one question is too personal or do not wish to respond to both, I am sorry and will gladly accept just one response too. Any info is useful info!
