A Troll is someone who cruises the board PRETENDING to be someone or something they arent. They are fakers ... usually just wanting to stir up trouble.

"Heather" who started this post is a LONG time troll who probably owns the adoption forums record for most bannings by one person. She also has been "pregnant" for at least two years and "considering adoption" the entire time . So sometimes on some of the threads you will see an oldtimer refer to the elephant pregnancy - that is Julie (aka Heather or any other variety of names).

She has a VERY distinct posting style of short abrupt sentences, short posts, and uses phrases that are unique to her. After reading her posts ... it becomes very obvious who she is. She starts off innocently enough but within a day or two (if she is allowed to stay) she inevitably starts trouble. Her problem now though is that we all know her and her posting style so she always gets caught.

Its become a bit of a sport. LOL

Yep sport! That's exactly it. Try to add some spice to the forum, searching for trolls.

funny....just read another thread where I thought "it's Julie!" Does anyone know if the "change of heart" thread is her too? Sounds very similar anyway.

I dont think its her. Even if it is, there are times when the things she starts can teach us all something. In this case even if its her (I dont think it is though) we all will benifit from learning if most ap's would like to hear from the pbmom who changed her mind. Trolls arent all bad, we do benefit on occasion.

Oh, and if they think it's Julie I'm pretty sure they can tell who it is by the IP addy. With some servers its impossible to ban the IP I think, like AOL, but not sure how it all works.

For the newer members of the forum, there is a poster known as Julie. OK, that's just one of her aliases, but when someone mentions Julie, we know what they mean. She holds the world's record for the longest pregnancy in history. Isn't about 2 years now?
She claims to be pregnant and considering adoption. She always starts out nice enough, then will turn crude and vulgar.
When the higher powers of the forum catch on, they ban her, meaning she is no longer allowed on the forum. She usually waits a bit, then reincarnates as another poster.

Thanks JJ for the clarification. How sad for someone to do such a thing! I thought it was a valid question she posted though and I was all ready to respond. How do you suppose she would have turned that one bad--don't tell me if you think it will do her work for her. I was just curious. Has she really been doing this for 2 years?? If so someone has to carry on that long, I really think they ought to get a life. Ya all are so good .

I thought it was her from the first post. She only appears on weekends when the moderators are less present. She usually generates quite a few responses because she initially seems reasonable. She really does have a unique style of writing.

Perhaps her questions are food for thought but I disagree that it's a good discussion. She gets well meaning people to invest their time and energy in her charade.

I remember a couple of her names from last year -- longgreengrass and mintshastagrape!
