Potential Match
Our agency called today to see if we were available to meet with a Mom next Tuesday at 1:00m. She was given several profiles this past Tuesday and liked ours most. At this point she only wants to meet with us, no other Padoptive parents. Her due date is 01/06/05, and the baby is a boy. I am feeling different realms of emotions: happy, excited, joyful, nervous, and scared all in one.
We're hoping that this is the baby God intended to be apart of our family. Please pray for all of us, especially the Mother. Thanks, Ruth Mom to Princess Savanna thru adoption 07/27/00 Waiting for #2 since 08/06/03 One failed match

I'll keep you in our prayers! GOOD LUCK at the meeting! Those meeting are crazy! SOOOOOOO nerve racking. Just remember that she is just as nervous.

congrats!
isn't it a great feeling that someone picked you out of all the other families to potentially adopt their child? I mentioned your post to dh since he was born on 1/06. he says great things are expected of those with that birthdate:-). our fingers are crossed that this works out for everyone take care, LisaCA

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I'll keep you posted.
I am very excited but my husband is very guarded, due to our last failed match. Last night he asked me to calm down (I guess I was acting to happy for him) which made me sad. I don't want to be guarded I want to enjoy this experience because this could be the match that leads us to our son. Again thanks! Ruth~I know exactly what you mean. I know in my case, I could act as guarded as I wanted on the outside and it wouldn't stop how joyous and excited I felt on the inside. Either way, it'll hurt the same if it doesn't work out so why not enjoy it when it's good in case it is the one?
