Smile Help us name our son

Hi everyone....

We are scheduled to pick up our son from the hospital on Sunday. He was born on Wednesday. My dh and I are so torn about names. We can't decide between the two. We have asked our friends and family what they like and it has come back as an even tie; so I'm coming here to get the general opinion of everyone. What name would you choose out of the following two, if it was your son.

Hayden Joseph Dominic
Joseph Dominic

Thank you for your time.

I would choose Hayden Joseph Dominic!! I like Hayden better than Joseph ( I like unique names ). However, I love Dominic for a first name as well.

Good luck.

P.S. You may want to look at your son and decide whether he looks like a Hayden or a Joseph. It really is up to him!!

First, let me so how happy and excited I am for you that things are still moving forward. It must be wonderful to be consideering names after these last few weeks.

Of the two names I would choose Joseph Dominic. It's a lovely solid name. I have to be honest about Hayden, I'm hearing it and names like it a lot lately. Variations of the sound 'ayden and 'aden seem to be everywhere (Hayden, Kaden, Jayden, Jaden etc.). That deosn't mean you shouldn't choose it, heck my first name was the number one name for a number of years. I just thought I'd mention it because this was one of our determining factors when choosing a name.

Have fun choosing, have fun shopping, and have fun with your last moments as a family of three, your house is about to be much more busy.

All the best...

i agree with sugarbaby...i think the 'den names are played out. i love the name joseph...how cute is a little baby named joe??? love it!!! then, when he gets into big trouble (not that he ever would, of course), you can holler out his full name "JOSEPH DOMINIC...."
i always knew i was in BIG trouble when my mom or dad came out with the first AND middle name!

I like Hayden, its different and not as typical as Joseph. I like both of the names you have chosen though.

By the way, I didn't post, but I followed your thread all the way through. I am so happy for you. Thank you so much for openly sharing your emotional rollercoster ride!

I'll go with Joseph Dominic, but I like Dominic as a first name too. I'm getting really tired of last names as first names for boys.

I admire your putting it to a vote!

Congratulations on the adoption. I'm sure that this child will make a nice addition to your family. This may sound like a strange request, but have you considered letting the birthmother choose the middle name ? I am an adoptee and I would have loved to have had my mom have some influence in naming me. It is a nice way to honor the woman who is giving you a son.
