I'm so happy for you that you got to hear the baby's heart beat. Good luck on everything-I'll say a prayer that bmom starts taking better care of herself and the baby and that the baby is excellent health.

Talking Thanks

Thanks Becky can use all we can get I think bmom has the idea now that nothing less will be excepted. She has other Biochildren that need to be cared for so she knows that she needs to be there for them now and after the baby is born. lol I just got the phone call from her she yelled at me about the vitims making her sick. I told her its ok do you feel better now that you yelled at me. She replied some what lol. I told her to try eating before she takes them maybe that would help food is not her best friend these days to say the least. So i am sure I will be getting another phone call soon from Bmom np tho what ever it takes to get her and baby through saftely and healthy. Thanks again Bea

Bea-Has she tried taking the vitamins before bed? That way she'll be asleep when they make her feel lousy.

Try not to worry too much. My son's birthmom did not find out she was pregnant until she was almost 7 months along (for a lot of reasons) and had been on the pill the whole time with no prenatal care! Luckily, she was a vegetarian, didn't drink, smoke, or do drugs, so he was born absolutely perfect and healthy. She also went to a doctor as soon as she found out and made every doctors appointment from then on. He is now 2 1/2 and is extremely smart and the light of our lives!!!

OK, I'm going to tell my secret...
With the daughter I parent I bought prenatals and I think I took about 15 of 'em. I drank Mountain Dew a couple times a week, and I think I had about a full pack of cigarette's before I knew I was pregnant and didnt have my first doctor appointment until I was over 6 months pregnant-not because I didnt know I was pregnant, but because I was scared to tell my parents.
With the daughter I placed I bought prenatals again and took again about 15 of 'em. I drank caffinated sodas for the last month of my pregnancy, but did get to the doc early.
Even without prenatal care for my first, both were healthy and happy babies. I wouldnt worry to much about the prenatals. Maybe you could get her to take folic acid- you can get it seperate from the prenatals. It wont make her sick and it helps with brain development and function. Its best to take in the first trimester, but even late I'm sure its better than not at all or no prenatals at all.

Prenatals make a lot of women sick...

my best friend got sick on them when pregnant (she was very nauseated anyway through the first part of her pregnancy), and her doctor advised her to take children's vitamins (chewables, like flintstones). Those didn't make her sick and the baby is Soooooo healthy.

It works for me~

The iron in vitamines makes me sick, too. She really needs the iron, folic acid, and other vitamines and minerals, now especially. The only way I can take vitamines is to eat half my meal, take the vitamin, and then eat the other half of my meal. I also swallow my vitamin with a glass of milk instead of water. I can never take a vitamin in the morning, it has to be with lunch or dinner. Hopefully this helps her queasy tummy settle down.

they made me sick

When I was pregnant the vitamins made me very sick too. My doctor suggested taking them right before bed, and once I started doing that I no longer had any problems.

Congratulations on hearing the heart beat!!! That's so exciting

So do you plan to find out Boy or Girl? I had to know, so if her parents didnt want to know I would have had them leave the room for a minute so I could find out!
