Finally an Update!!!
Ok.. I will try to keep this brief.. Little Daniel was born on July 15th!!!!
 ) he is just beautiful... Him and his mom both stayed in the hospital until Sunday (due to her C-section) and then we all went to the hotel to stay until they could sign on Monday.. On Monday we had a few hours of worry as we could not locate Daniel's mom and dad.. Turned out she had gone to the ED in the night and was now at her ob's office.. We rushed over there (we had the baby) and found that she was in a lot of pain but luckily the doctors said she was ok.. she just had not been taking her pain meds.. BUT.. she did tell the staff that she was re-thinking the adoption.. So.. we had canceled the appointment for the relinquishment and instead we spent the day with J and B and also gave them tons of alone time with Daniel.. They really needed some bonding time!!!! We also all talked A LOT and they still said they wanted to go thru with the adoption.. Today we were supposed to leave at 8 :30 AM to get some paperwork and then go sign.. we had a rough start as J was really sore and such.. but we all finally got out the door at about 10 AM.. At 11:30 am today his parents did the most wonderful and courageous thing in the world.. they SIGNED the papers to allow us the priviledge of raising him!!!! )So.. we are thrilled and sad (sad for them) at the same time.. but they both keep telling me to stop feeling sad.. this will be an open adoption so we will all be in contact thru the years.. THANK YOU so much for all the support from all of you on this board.. )we are now just waiting for ICPC to go thru.. I hand carried the paperwork to the IPCP office here and dropped it off at 2 PM today.. they said that theyw ould have it out the door by 3 PM today and on its way to my state!!! YEA!!!!!! OK.. now the little one needs a bath.. Mandy

Hopefully your states ICPC will get it out the door quickly also. I am praying for a quick return for you...nothing beats getting home with the new baby!!! :-)
Congratulations! I am sorry to hear that the bmom has had such a difficult time with pain, etc. I will also keep her and the bfamily in my thoughts. Christa

Congrats on your new arrival,and Im so glad everything worked out.Im so thankful that birthparents make the courageous decision to place .It is such a selfless decision.They are so strong in which to put their baby's needs above their own.
You are blessed indeed. Stacie matched Oct 2003 baby girl born April 9 2004 Praise God!!!!!

Praying that all the loose ends are tied up quickly!! I'm sure you can't get enough of the little guy!!!! Keep us posted. Thanks for sharing this with us. It's nice to hear things turned out so well. I'll also be praying for the birthparents.

Congratualtions! It really is hard not to feel sadness for the birthparents while also feeling great elation for ourselves! I still feel that way sometimes (and it's been 7 months). The birthparents sound great and I wish all of you much happiness.
