It's a girl:-)
well that was quick! It's a girl, no name yet, 6lbs 14oz. Bmom is nursing which is fine with us:-). She's still committed and so are her parents so i'm about to book a flight to chicago (as soon as I get off the line here).
we are thrilled and yet scared to death (dh is calmly freaking out "what do I do?!":-) The family really, really wants us there so here we go! I'll probably leave tomorrow late morning/early afternoon and dh will arrive sunday nite. I'll post when I have more info, but the advice on what to bring is quite helpful so keep that info coming! I'll check a few times before I leave tomorrow and see what great advice you guys have. the hotel her agency suggested is obscenely priced, but we'll find something. Hoping to stay at some sort of suite with a kitchen, since bmom intends to pump while we're there so we need a freezer and fridge. wow, this has moved sooo fast! Here's to it working out for everyone! thanks again for all your prayers and support. Can I ask you to pray for my cats? I'm hoping they forgive me for what I'm about to do (bring home another to compete for moms attention). Prayers for a quick kitty adjustment would ease my mind. thanks again, LisaCA

Congrats Lisa,
I wish you a safe and speedy return and many blessings. I am also sending prayers for the cat adjustment. I have a dog and I know when my day comes it will be a big adjust for my furry baby as well. Take care and again, congrats!

Hey, LisaCA!
I PM'd you a suggestion about taking a journal for those moments when you may want to reflect and to look back on or to share with your daughter one day. Also, take lots of pictures since this moment will probably go by so quickly. Catch sleep whenever you can! HEE HEE I will also include your cats in my prayers. We have a large chocolate lab and I am a little worried about how he will feel, although he is already used to four rambunctious boys! Have a safe flight! kllee
