Well we met him!!! It was sooooooo much more than I expected. Now I know what people mean when they say "you'll know when it is right". We called him last night and his little voice is just so sweet.
I was hoping for some advice from other parents who've adopted already. I was wondering how often we should call him. I dont want to irritate the foster family but I dont want him to think we forgot about him. Let me know what you guys think, Gwen |

hi gwen
congrats..thats great news..... for us, we called everyday, i think its important for the child to get a phone call everyday. we worked it out with the foster mom...everyday at 7:30pm my alarm would go off on my watch and i called....no matter where i was... to this day...at 7:30 my watch would go off and he would say "daddy loves me..." and laugh... dadfor2 |

set up a schedule
I also set up a schedule and checked it out with the foster family. I called everyday. Some conversations were short, but the fostermom said she looked forward to her phone calls.
