Hi Everyone-just wondering if someone could help us.

We are matched with a pbmom in Phoenix, AZ. Dh and I live in WI and we are trying to find an agency in Phoenix that can help us complete our private adoption. So far I have called a couple agencies and have found no luck. All of the agencies I have called do not deal with private adoptions. I was just wondering if anyone could make a suggestion. We thought about just using an attorney, but WI laws require us to use an agency.

If you haven't already done so, might I suggest you go to the AZ board and make a post requesting agency info for the Phoenix area?

Hi there.

I don't want to doubt you at all, but might I suggest that you recheck those laws. I've never heard of this in a directed placement. Would you be able to use a WI agency and an AZ atty to complete ICPC?

We are in GA and were matched with a pbmom in Phoenix also. We just used attys in both places. If you PM me I have the name of a great Phoenix atty, but sorry, no agency.

The agency I am using in Phoenix is called AASK- Aid to the Adoption of Special Kids. While they mainly place children from the foster care/DES system, they also have a birth parent placement program. I don;t know if it's specifically what you are looking for, but it's worth a shot to call or lookfor info on their web site.
