Just Anxious - countdown begins now.

Well the countdown has begun (for me at least!) Having had two preemies (1 at 24 weeks and 1 at 32 weeks) I was always told that 30 weeks is a HUGE milestone. While pregnant with my second son, we all rejoyced when I hit 30 weeks and was told that the survival rate for infants increases dramatically after 30 weeks.

Well our birthmother is now in her 30th week and it just dawned on me that she really could deliver any time. Granted we want her to wait at least 6 more weeks but we are all just anxious to have a beautiful new baby in our lives.

Now the time will drag for sure! Anyone else in my shoes?

I am not in your shoes.....really glad I did not have to wait for my adopted baby to be delivered (I AM NOT PATIENT) LOL...Although the whole process takes more patience then I thought I could have.
My very best wishes for you and your new little one and hope time passes quickly

Although I'm not currently in your shoes (our daughter is 9 months old), it seems like only yesterday that we were. How exciting for you, although you may be feeling nothing but anxiety now. Believe it or not, after your baby is home, you will look back on the 'waiting' time, what you did, what you daydreamed about, and how crazy it was the day you got 'the call.' Savor these moments. Also, try to get some sleep in the meantime.

waiting also

Our birthmother is due on July 15th. The uncertainy is killing me. How about you?

How long have you been matched? Is it an open adoption? Do you live in the same state as the birthmother?

Would love to share the wait with you. Please PM me.

Jeannette

Hi,
I've never posted on this board before but I want to say "yes" I'm sort of in your shoes. We're matched with a lovely b-mom due in early July and like jsmet, the wait and all of the unknowns are making me crazy. I hope and pray that eveything works out for you and that the next six weeks (give or take ) will fly by!
