looking for feedback and experiences
Okay, I tried to search the board for answers- but there are too many threads! So, this may be a reiteration of a questions, but ...
Due to the nature of this question and rules of this Forum, you will need to privately email me your replies. I am looking for anyone to share experiences, thoughts/ opinions (no slanderous ones, just plain facts), feedback on the following agencies we are looking into for domestic adoption: American Adoptions (nationwide agency) Adoption From the Heart (primarily works in & around PA), Lifetime Adoptions (in CA). I am looking for the good points and the not so good points of each agency. Through knowing "both sides of the coin", I believe we can make a better decision. Thank you so much and am looking forward to hearing from you! Peace, Debbie |

Debbie,
My wife Denise and I adopted two beautiful babies through American Adoptions. Please privately email us so we can share our experience and knowledge with you and better help you make a decision of which agency is best for you. Hope to hear from you soon. Ken |

We live in Kansas, but American Adoptions works nationwide, they have contract workers all over the place and do many out of state adoptions.

I know American Adoptions is a licensed agency, but I'm not sure about the other two.
I know nothing of these bisunesses personally, but from my experience, I would encourage you to consider the difference between licensed and unlicensed adoption workers. Of our three placements, the two successful ones came from licensed agencies; the failed one was through a facilitator. I have come to believe that licensed agencies pose less of a financial risk (although the heartache is the same if a placement fails). Good luck on your adoption journey! Rebecca |
