My husband and I recently finalized the adoption of our beautiful baby girl, Kylie. We are involved in an open adoption with both the birthmom and birthfather, and we believe that we are very lucky to have a relationship with both of them.

I am concerned over your show about open adoption. Although I have not seen the show yet, I am worried about the emotions of the people involved. This was such an emotional and heart wrenching process for us. Open adoption is not a contest or a winning or losing game, it is real life. Lives are changed, people are changed, forever by the decisions that are made in open adoption.

I truly hope that your show reflects the true raw emotions that are felt, not only by the prospective adoptive parents, but also by the birthmother, birthfather and others involved.

I look forward to watching the show, and will probably record it.
