Have any of you adopted from MI but lived in another state? ANd possibly needed the birthfather "posted on" for termination?

I have heard of a situation that might be available, but that ICPC in MI might take as long as 4 to 6 weeks and I wanted to see if anyone on this group has heard of that or might know why? My lawyer is also going to check, but I still want "real life" experiences if at all possible..

our attorney uses MI as an example everytime we talk about ICPC so there must be something to what you are hearing.

From what he has said the paperwork was sent back to Georgia three times before it was finally approved in Michigan. Also that the judge required a lot of "redundant" info., more so than other states.

I know it's not a lot of info to offer you. But, like I said, everytime we talk about ICPC he brings up MI.

we adopted from MI and our ICPC only took 2 days!!! We live in WI. I never heard of such a thing! Maybe from Ohio, but not MI. Good luck!!
