I really am ready...

Anyone feel so ready for a baby they could burst? A woman came into my showroom & had just foster-adopted a newborn baby girl(well, now the baby is 9 weeks.) My heart swelled with joy for her, as it does with all of you bringing your babies home.

I'm SO ready for our turn! I know patience is a huge part of the adoption process, but I can't help it. I have so much love stored in my heart for that precious gift....

Just thought I'd share...
Ashley

WE haven't even started our homestudy yet (starts tomorrow) and I went looking at baby furniture today. I got so choked up I had to leave the store. Then I went to the book store to find books on adoption. Well, I walked through the kids section and they had these Easter Bunnies all over the place. I started thinking about the day DH and I will experience Easter, Christmas and even the tooth fairy with our child---got teary-eyed again.

So, to answere your question NO, you're not alone. Every child I see reminds me of what's to come and my heart, too, wants to explode.

I'M READY, TOO!!!

Hi, I definitely understand how you're feeling. I often think of and picture the day when we have our baby in our arms and finally bring her/him home. It makes me smile We havent started arranging the nursery, but recently we just moved some furniture around and boy!! did we ever get excited!! Let's all hope and pray that we will all soon be moms!!

Yours in waiting....Good luck

I know how you feel. We are matched with a baby due sometime between Jun-August (long story). the strangest thing happened day before yesterday. I was sitting at my house and all of sudden I was filled with so much love for this baby. It was like a flood gate opened. I have a bio daughter and I feel as if I am carrying this baby my self. It was the strangest feeling...love,joy.excitement all at once. It really felt like the gate of emotions where opened wide. Its hard to explain. Maybe I just finally let my guard down.
