Because no matter how great everything seems now, it may change once that baby is born. My friend and I have both experienced this. Birthparents wanted very limited contact before birth, but had resentment about it after baby was born.
Nobody can possibly know how they will feel about relinquishing a child, until they do it. Also check out how extended family is going to react. I know mine often feels caught in the middle. Stop putting them in that position. I wish you and your baby all the best. It is not "her baby" until the child is born, and the parents choose to relinquish, if they so choose to. |
