I am in the same boat that you are in. I am not a rich person and that doesn't mean that I can't be a wonderful parent. I have been researching adoption for the last 2 almost 3 years and I have not found anything other than foster to adopt, but I dont want to deal with the state, so I may never have my dreams of being a mommy realized.
I wish you the best in your quest! I think that the some of the agencies that I have talked to care more about the money than what you can give a child. I am sorry if I sound negative but I am getting to the point where I am going to have to give my dream up because I dont have a truck load of money!
I wish that I could give you a light at the end of the tunnel.

Best of luck to you
Niece

You might try looking into the fost/adopt program through your local Department of Social Services. You can request only a legally freed child. Also, if you are open to special needs, there are rare occasions where you can adopt a newborn. The cost for adopting this way is pretty much free.

Adoption grants and loans are sometimes available

There are lots of ways to finance an adoption. I'm sending you a PM!
