She Called!!!!
My husband and I met a young girl is pregnant and wanting to give it up for adoption. (a friend of a friend). We took her to dinner on Tuesday. Last night she called and said she wants me and dh to be the parents of her baby. She said she fell in love with us. I am so excited. She wants me to go the doctor with her on Monday. My husband and I have been looking into international adoption and the Lord just sent us this young brave lady. I am so excited but fell as if I am in the first trimester of a pregnancy...guarded and not wanting to hope too much. I have felt that before with miscarriages. Anyway, I just wanted to share my WONDERFUL news. She is due end of June

Thank you so much for your support. I will let you all know how the appt goes. My friend said she is supposed to get her sonogram on Monday. I cant wait. I am so scared she is going to change her mind (which I know is her right). After talking to her last night she sounded so happy that she found us that I dont know if she will. But I am still worried. She told me at dinner the other night that she is sure that this is what she wants and she will not change her mind. Ill let you all know how the dr appt goes. Thanks again for all the support

The doctor appts went great. I got to hear the heart beat. The sonogram is on Thursday. I can't wait. The birthmoms mom was there with us and just as sweet as can be. She asked me if Ive decided what color I'm going to paint the babies room. I cant wait.

Awwwww! That's so wonderful. What a blessing that her mom is supportive. I think that's one of the most important factors on all sides of adoption--family support.
