Talking No Longer Waiting!!

Well I got a call today at 9:25 am in the middle of the California High School Exit Exam, "L" was in labor. Luckily Session 1 had come to an end and I left another teacher take over Session 2. Called hubby at SWAT training and met him at the hospital.

Ethan was born at 12:16 pm. Weighing in at 6 pounds 14 ounces 19 inches long. Eventually we got in to see him. A bunch of babies were born at that time with only 1 nurse in the nursery so she was a little stressed. We got to hold him and hang out. Watch all his shots and such. Took a break to eat while they gave him a bath, hung out some more and just came home to get things organized for tomorrow's arrival home.

Thank you all for your support. We have to wait a few days before "L" can sign some paperwork and then our countdown will begin. I really am thinking about her. She chose not to come to the hospital with anyone and still did not want to see us. I am so upset for her and just wish we could show her how grateful we are. We wrote a letter and the social worker left it for her. I just feel so sad for her and guilty that we are so happy.

Well I will let you all go! Thanks again for everythings. I will be back tomorrow and try to get a picture up soon.

Molly

Yippeee! I am so excited for you and praying everything goes as planned. I am also praying Ethan's bmom gets some closure.
What a lovely name! Please post pics soon!

Are you in the same city/state the baby was born in?

Congratulations! Get some sleep while you can (although you are probably too excited to sleep, I guess!).

D.

Molly, congratulations.

This is such a difficult and joyous time. I, too, am thinking of "L" and hoping that she has peace and someone close with whom she can share her feelings. I assume that she will spend tonight with Ethan. Each of you will be in my thoughts today and tomorrow.

CONGRATULATIONS! I could just imagine the two of you enjoying the company of this wee one, while 'hanging out' in the 'baby room'!
I hope everything continues to go well....and I hope that this birthmom is finding peace now and in the days to come.

Sincerely,

Linny

Congratulations Molly! I bet it's killing you not to bring him home, yet.

YAAAAAHOOOOO!

CONGRATULATIONS Molly!!

Your little guy weighs an ounce more than Elijah at birth and they are the same length. I'm very happy for you all! I will say a prayer for "L" tonight. Who knows maybe she will change her mind and choose to meet you tomorrow.

Looking foward to a picture!

Molly, try not to feel guilty. Most birthmother's revel in the joy the adoptive parents feel. We want our children to bask in that joy too.Your open heart communicates so much.
