Getting started
My husband and I have a 7 year old, that we are legal guardians to, We have had her in our home since she was 5 mos old. She is our own. Birth parents not interest in raising her, but won't agree to a open adoption. Birth mother has seen her 4 times in past year. Birth father is gone has been for 3 yrs. She as well as my husband and I want so very much to share the family name and get on with our lives.. Any one with any advise, Help

I would suggest getting in touch with an adoption attorney and seeing what your options are.
